JOB OPENINGS:

CITY HALL BUILDING DEPARTMENT CLERK.  Work schedule of Mondays and Thursdays 8:00am-2:00pm with additional days/hours as needed.   The Building Department Clerk performs work in the issuance of building permits and contractor licenses; coordinates meetings for the Architecture Board of Review, Planning and Zoning, and Zoning Board of Appeals committees; performs general clerical tasks, uses the computer to enter data and maintain information; performs related work as required; and handles interactions with the public.  The Clerk will perform all functions with the highest ethics and integrity.  Candidate must possess some knowledge of building department terms/actions.  Technical or functional supervision may be provided by higher level professional positions such as the Building Official or Building Inspector.  Pay range $12-$15 per hour.   If you have questions or to submit a job application/resume, please contact Stacey Task at City Hall at 330-562-1234 or stask@reminderville.com.

CITY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

FINANCE COMMITTEE has two open seats.  The Finance Committee meets twice a month (except summer months and December) before the Council meetings.  This is an unpaid volunteer position.  The responsibilities and duties of the Finance Committee shall include the following items, together with any additional duties assigned by Council:  Review the financial aspects of all purchase orders, contracts, and other documents, exceeding a threshold amount established by Council, by which the Municipality incurs financial obligations.  Audit and review payment of all invoices, and other evidences of claims or charges against the Municipality.  Establish appropriate exemptions to the above to maintain the effective and efficient operation of the Municipality.  Assist in the coordination of budget preparation and recommend the budget to Council.  Recommend fiscal policy to the Mayor and Council.  Residents can send letters of interest to stask@reminderville.com or mail to City of Reminderville, 3382 Glenwood Blvd, Reminderville, OH 44202

THE HUMAN RESOURCES/INSURANCE COMMITTEE has two open seats.  The committee meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month except June, July, August, and December when they meet only on the second Tuesday.  Extra meetings can be scheduled as needed.  Meetings start before the Finance Committee at 5:00pm or 5:30pm depending on items on the agenda.  Interested residents must be able to commit to the meeting schedule.  This is an unpaid volunteer position.   The responsibilities and duties of the Human Resources/Insurance Committee shall establish and maintain City personnel policies and procedures, employee compensation and benefits programs, and implement and maintain all other insurance policies as set forth or required by the City of Reminderville to ensure the health, safety and general welfare of the City and its employees.

COMMUNICATION COMMITTEE is welcoming members. Call Committee Chair, Councilwoman Vicki Jeromos for information 330-203-8374 or stop at a meeting on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm at City Hall.  You can help deliver welcome bags, assist at community events, and write small articles for the website.  This is an unpaid volunteer position.

LONG-TERM COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT is looking for new members.  LTCD prepares planning recommendations for Council that will enhance the character and quality of life of the Municipality. The planning recommendations shall include standards or requirements for preserving and protecting the character and quality of life.
