Community Project Funding Request for FY-22
The Village of Reminderville is applying for federal funding through Congressman Dave Joyce the 14th District of Ohio. Channel Brook, i.e., Pond Brook has excess sediment that is problematic, and the canal has become a depository for course particulate organic matter and silt. The recommendation to help alleviate the organic material is the construction of an elevated wetland forebay directly downstream from the Glenwood Blvd. culvert would encourage sediment disposition and provide a distinct separation from the canal. Additionally, frequent boat traffic keeps the sediment suspended resulting in high turbidity. The impact of this project will help rejuvenate the health of Aurora Lake which ultimately flows to Lake Erie.
