Seniors Lunch & Learn
A perfect place to hear all the latest information and enjoy a complimentary meal!
Over a dozen seniors stopped by for the monthly Lunch & Learn at the RAC on February 15. They were greeted by Sheila James from Avenue at Aurora who was waiting with a wonderful complimentary meal. While savoring every bite, the attendants listened to Patti from Enhanced Homecare talk about home care options for seniors so they can have a high level of independence while still enjoying the support of family and friends. Then Patti turned over the mic to Lynn from Hospice of Western Reserve. Lynn reminded everyone that we all need to focus on life and living and what a better way to do that than to create a bucket list! A bucket list is a list of things you want to do or accomplish before you “kick the bucket”.
Maybe there is something you want to experience the beauty of or do to overcome a fear or create to feel accomplished. Lynn sparked our minds with examples of African safaris, learning a new language, exploring the Grand Canyon, skydiving, learning golf, adopting a pet, or even simply watching a sunset. Our seniors already started their bucket lists with sharing that they’d like to go on a cruise, attend the Kentucky Derby and visit the Indianapolis Speedway.
