Reminderville offers branch chipping free of charge to residential properties. A property must have a house on it to receive this service. Privately hired contractors (i.e., landscapers, tree trimmers) must dispose of brush without the benefit of this program. This program is subject to change due to circumstances beyond the city’s control. All scheduled services will be performed weather permitting.
Weeks of:
May 13, June 10, July 8, August 12, and September 9
Residents are asked to follow the guidelines to help keep this service cost-effective and efficient for all:
-BRANCHES MUST BE OUT NO LATER THAN 7:30AM ON MONDAY OF THE WEEK OF COLLECTION IN ORDER TO GUARANTEE COLLECTION.
- -Branches should be placed on the tree lawn (grass area within 10 feet of the pavement edge) in neatly stacked piles with cut end toward the street. Where a ditch exists along the pavement edge, branches should be placed ON THE STREET SIDE rather than in the ditch.
- -Piles should be free of stumps, leaves, grass clippings, and other yard waste, briars, vines, and anything with thorns.
- -For the safety of our Service Department, branches SHOULD BE AT LEAST (4) FOUR FEET LONG and not greater than 6 inches in diameter.
- The Service Department will pick up only those branches that conform to the above guidelines.
- Privately hired contractors (i.e., landscapers, tree trimmers) must dispose of brush without the benefit of this program.
- *This program was started to assist residents in yard cleanup of fallen branches, prunings, and trimmings. The branch chipping program will not be used as a way to dispose of whole tree removals or clearing your property. If you are removing a tree or having one removed, please dispose of the material in another way.
- *If you put branches out after the time stated, please do not call City Hall. You will have to wait until the next pick-up week.
